Community Night will resume Thursday, September 21st, 2017.

This year, we continue our Community Night tradition. Every Thursday evening starting mid September through mid November for the fall season and again starting in February through April for spring, join us at 6:00 PM in the Johnson Room, for food and friendship. Each week features the talents of the fabulous cooks in our congregation: two main dishes (one vegetarian), as well as sides, salad and bread. A donation of $5 per adult, $2 per child under ten, or $10 per family, covers the cost of the meal. If you’d like to join, but have dietary restrictions or preferences, you are welcome to bring your own meal.

Community Night Menus

9/21 – Japanese Ramen, with noodles, veggies, and chicken, or miso soup, with a cabbage salad and rice, from Chef Amanda Rogers, and Sous Chefs Patricia Gortari, Lynne MacVean, and Robin Stewart.

9/28 – Pork Green Chili, or Sweet Potato Chipotle Black Bean Chili, with a Southwest salad, chips + salsa, and cornbread, from chef Justin Gelsinger, and Sous Chefs Cherie Stafford, Joan Gale, and Lynne MacVean).

10/5 – Beef Stroganoff or Mushroom Stroganoff, with roasted brussel sprouts, fall harvest salad, and homemade “Red Lobster” cheddar biscuits, from Chefs Teri and Donna Talbot, and Sous Chefs EV Girod, Robin Stewart, and Janine Gelsinger.

10/12 – Indian Food Night: Yellow Curry with Chicken, or Vegan Potato Subji, with basmati rice, naan, and mango lassis, from Chef Robin Stewart, and Sous Chefs Alisa Phillips and the YRUU and 7th/8th grade Youth.

10/19 – Zuppa Toscana (choice of sausage or vegetarian), with quinoa salad, mixed greens salad with balsamic dressing, and homemade cranberry bread, from Chef Julie Talbot, and Sous Chefs Cherie Stafford, Robin Stewart, and Joan Gale.

 

Following Community night, Thursday evenings feature many activities: small groups, adult faith development, Pathway to Membership, and more. Check out the UUCP website to sign up. Chalice Kids childcare is available between 6:30-8:30.
