Reverend Christine Dance

Hello Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix!

You can reach me via the minister’s email address, which is

I am excited and honored to be your new Minister.  I am impressed by your bold vision, your vibrant community and your focus on justice.

I believe that Unitarian Universalism is a life-saving and transformational faith.  I think that our time needs UU values now more than ever—both in spirit and in action.  I strive to bring a big heart, an inspirational voice and a courageous call for justice to every aspect of my ministry.

My wife Karen and I currently live in Orlando, Florida.  Prior to ministry, I had a 30-year career in marketing, communications, product development and innovation.  I was a professional facilitator, leading innovation, strategy and brainstorming sessions for Fortune 500 companies.  Before that, I was the Brand Manager for Hasbro Toys, managing lines as diverse as Pokémon, Transformers, and My Little Pony.

As a lay leader of the First Unitarian Church of Orlando., I led their $1.7 million capital campaign and renovation project and served on almost every committee you can imagine. I had felt called to UU ministry for a long time but waited until our two sons were done with high school to attend seminary.  I graduated from Iliff School of Theology last year and was just ordained in January.

Our kids are now out on their own and Karen and I are herded daily around our house by our two dogs and four cats.  We love to camp, hike, entertain and travel.

I look forward to sharing our stories and looking to how we can chart a bold path for our transformative future together.

With great anticipation,

Rev. Christine Dance
