Words can be “difficult” because they have associations or connotations that we find troubling, perhaps because they were important in religious traditions that we no longer follow. We will invite people to suggest words in advance (e.g. worship, church, spiritual, prayer, faith). We will work on understanding why they are problematic to some (not all) of us and also see if we can re-imagine them in order to reclaim some value for us. We do not want to be stuck in “what I don’t believe” but move to “what I do believe”, and listen to different interpretations and learn from each other.
