CONGREGATIONAL ADMINISTRATOR, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix (UUCP), membership 450, seeks a full-time Congregational Administrator, to begin summer 2018.

The Congregational Administrator provides day-to-day oversight for the financial management of the congregation and ministry, coordinating with other staff members to assure the accuracy and appropriateness of finance, budgeting, accounting, spending, human resources and property management within and across programs. The Congregational Administrator supports organization processes and infrastructure of the congregation.

The Congregational Administrator works as part of a dynamic and collaborative staff team, bringing administrative leadership and creativity to support the vision of the congregation to be theologically diverse, radically inclusive and justice centered, working to become a diverse, multicultural, multiracial community.

The idea candidate will have education in public or business administration, or a related field (bachelor’s level required); 3-5 years’ experience in management of complex organizations with significant experience in church, social service agencies, not-for-profits or related field, including financial and property management.  Key skill areas include strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to supervise; experience in financial planning and analysis , human resources, information technology; organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning; demonstrated success developing and monitoring systems to manage both operational and programmatic work that involve high levels of collaboration.

We seek applicants with a collaborative, team-building management style; ability to work effectively with Board of Trustees and volunteer committees and teams; tactful and mature with a good sense of humor; ability to manage and empower people; ability to organize, plan and implement activities appropriate to further organizational goals; desire to be sensitive to the fulfillment of a mission and vision within a faith community; proficiency with Windows-based computers and productivity software including word processing, spreadsheets, email and database management.
