Our Purpose

We seek to develop the motivation, inspiration, resilience, and spiritual practice for life-long anti-racist anti-oppression multicultural action and liberation; i.e., to embody an anti-racist life and spirituality, to be an anti-racist activist.

We will do this by:

  • Developing our personal and collective racial justice literacy through study, conversation, deep listening, deep curiosity, and reflection.
  • Supporting each other and instilling hope and stamina in this journey, with loving kindness, candor, self-responsibility, accountability, patience, humility, and forgiveness.
  • Reducing harm to our fellow humans based on implicit biases and racist ideology, perceptions, and practices.

For more information about our group’s focus, please read our Purpose & Scope document.

  • PAWS Leaders Panel: Solidarity in Action

Join White People Against White Supremacy (White PAWS) in hearing stories from anti-racist movement leaders to learn how we can approach the work today without replicating the systems of whiteness we fight to dismantle.

White PAWS is hosting a series of panel discussions featuring organizers who have placed anti-racism at the center of their lives, many of which have worked in Arizona.

Our panel on April 28 will focus on “Solidarity in Action,” and feature leaders from local organizations including Poder in Action, Black Lives Matter Phoenix Metro, and Trans Queer Pueblo. We will discuss the ways we can work in solidarity with BIPOC leadership to advance racial justice in Phoenix and beyond.

White PAWS is excited to collaborate with UU Justice Arizona (UUJAZ) on this event, which will be held at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix, 4027 E Lincoln Dr, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253.

If you cannot attend in-person, a zoom link will be sent to you prior to the event. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact whitepawsphoenix@gmail.com.

Worthy Now invites people on both sides of prison walls into beloved community. We declare that all persons are worthy of love, respect, and support—not at some future time when we are better people—but as we are right now. Did you know that we have incarcerated individuals identifying as UU? There are so many actions you can take, including becoming a penpal.
