- Schedule: Two 1-hour sessions, either in person (4/24 and 5/1, from 9:15 – 10:15am) or on Zoom (4/25 and 5/2, from 7:00 – 8:00pm)

This class on UU Roots is for folks new to UUCP, those who are curious, or those who have been around for a while but maybe never learned all these things. The first class will cover the basics of UU history, the origin and symbolism of the Flaming Chalice, and covenantal vs. creedal faiths. The second class will cover UUCP history specifically, including why we are a “congregation” and not a “church”, and explain some of our traditions, such as the water and flower communions.
We offer two options:
- In person before the services on Sunday, April 24 and Sunday, May 1, from 9:15 – 10:15am (masks required)
- By Zoom on Monday, April 25 and Monday, May 2, from 7:00 – 8:00pm.
