All are Welcome - Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix - September 17 at 3:00pm - the installation of Rev. Christine Dance & UUCP's 75th anniversary

The 75th Anniversary of the Founding of UUCP and the Installation of our Reverend Christine Dance will be held on Saturday, September 17, at 3:00pm MST. This is a celebration of this community and a recognition of the covenant between UUCP and its called minister. It will be a joyous ritual full of inspiring words, meaningful ritual, and great speakers—all gathered together to celebrate this community and what we’ve been through to get to this point right here.

Please join us in person or on Zoom: ID 879 9384 1444

Want to Know More?

What time should I get there if I join in person?
We recommend that you be in your seats by 2:50pm since there will be processions gathering in the halls. Religious professionals of any kind will be gathering in Annex B at 2:30pm.

What are the COVID Protocols?
While you are inside, we ask that everyone stay masked. There will be food and socializing outside on the patio following the festivities. The common rule is: when you are inside (e.g., getting food in the Johnson Room), stay masked; when you are outside, masks are optional.

Will there be an offering?
Yes! The offering is a big part of a celebration like this. The offering will be split between the Living Tradition Fund, which is customary at ordinations and installations, and Trans Queer Pueblo, a community partner of LGBTQ+ migrants of color making a difference in our community.

What should I expect at this event?
The service will have several different components, each with speakers, music, and ritual. After the opening, we will be celebrating UUCP’s 75th Anniversary with music and proclamations and special messages. Then we will have the installation ritual with both the Board of Trustees and UUCP children presiding, and then speakers talking about collegiality, justice, and our call as a community. And, of course, more music. Expect some special guests and touching moments.

Will it be recorded so I can watch it later?
Yes! Like any Sunday service, you can access it on our YouTube page afterwards.
