Beginning this Sunday, masks will be optional during worship. This was decided by UUCP’s Board of Trustees meeting last week. We want you to have this information asap so you can make the decision that is right for you regarding in-person worship.
There are very different views about having a mask requirement for worship. We want to acknowledge that some people will be happy about this change and some of you will be disappointed about it. You can read more about this decision in the email that was sent out on Feb 1.
Small group meetings will continue the recommendation of engaging in a covenanting process, asking what the masking needs of the members are (in advance, if possible) and making group decisions so that the most vulnerable can be included.
