Water Communion: Are You a Canal, a Reservoir, or a Swamp?

American author, theologian, and Civil Rights leader Howard Thurman asks us if we are canals, reservoirs, or swamps. As we gear up for a new program year for the congregation and another difficult year in our country and world, we will explore these different kinds of bodies of water and forge some resiliency and hope for our year. Bring some water from your home or travels or use some that we will provide as we share in our Water Communion ritual.
Share the Plate
In April 2022, we started splitting our weekly offering 50/50 with a different organization each month, because we feel this approach better reflects our values than simply donating the entire offering from one service per month. The current recipient can be found on the homepage and in the sidebar on the Share the Plate page.

After-Service Happenings
In-Person Coffee/Exploration Hour
We offer outside/shaded Coffee/Exploration Hour on the patio where folks can be unmasked and enjoy refreshments. We also have seating available in the Johnson Room where you can converse and stay masked, with no refreshments. Please join us after the service for community and conversation!

Children’s Ministry In-Person Programming
There will be no Children’s Ministry programming after this service. The facilitators and children will join the UUCP community for socialization.
