Nature Loop Trail at Phoenix Mountain Preserve Review

Nine individuals met on November 26 to enjoy a hike on the Nature Trail, a 1.5 mile loop. Everyone agreed to hike an additional segment up to a saddle on the Freedom Trail for another 2 miles. The hike took about 2 hours with beautiful views of the mountains, desert flora, quartz outcroppings, and 4 red-tailed hawks were spotted.

At times only the desert was in view, no man-made structures. Afterward, 5 folks stayed for a picnic in one of the Ramadas. This hike nourished both our bodies and our souls with exercise and comradery.
