On January 30, UUCP will hold New Member Sunday and introduce 5 new members during the worship service. Here are our 5 newest UUCP members:
After attending UUCP for over 5 years, I decided to become a member and find a way to be more involved. I am now serving on the Board as Treasurer. Over the last 50 years, I have been active in both staff and volunteer roles in many nonprofit organizations and am excited about landing at UUCP.
Hello! I’m Eric, they/them. I graduated from ASU in 2019 and have stayed in AZ because I cherish this community and the Sonoran desert. I was thrilled to discover UUCP because I had been longing for a community of people trying to improve themselves and the world, but that affirms me as a queer person and that respects my spiritual beliefs. I’m a software engineer, and am happiest when I’m (e)biking, hanging out with pigs, cooking vegan food, building Star Wars LEGOs, and enjoying the Desert Botanical Gardens.
Hi! I’m Ashley Hackman (she/her). My daughter, Anna, and I recently moved to Maricopa, AZ. We lived in Overland Park, Kansas before AZ. I have worked in the health insurance industry for 17 years. We are very excited to join UUCP and meet more members.
I’m Jon. My wife, Christina, and I have lived in the Valley for the past 7 years and are originally from Michigan. We moved to Arizona to get away from the Michigan winters and to experience something new in our lives. We both work in the Financial Services industry and I have been a Financial Planner for 25 years. In our spare time we enjoy reading, traveling, volunteering, and staying active.
My husband and I have been together for 28 years, have three dogs, and live in Central Phoenix. I am an entrepreneur with an accounting practice as well as other businesses. I have been a member of two different types of 12-step programs for over 15 years. My favorite things to do are movies, reading (mainly fiction), dining out, and spending time with family and friends.
